FollowMonday at the BNP Paribas Open
A lot has happened since Naomi Osaka last played Danielle Collins in October 2018’s Beijing Open. Osaka has won her second Grand Slam title in Australia, which is also where Collins showed off her potential by reaching her first slam semifinal. Collins will be fighting to redeem herself after the 6-1, 6-0 loss she suffered at Osaka’s hands in their only meeting last year.
Novak Djokovic will face German Philipp Kohlschreiber, looking to get a step closer to his sixth title in Indian Wells. Djokovic leads the head to head 8:1. Kohlschreiber beat the Serbian player in the third round of the 2009 French Open.
Alexander Zverev will face his fellow German Jan-Lennard Struff. Zverev leads their head to head 5:0, although Struff has gotten a set off the top-ranked German as recently as Madrid last year, so there is always potential for a competitive match.
