Ričardas Berankis of Lithuania has seen his ranking spike 17 positions to world no. 74, according to the current live rankings. The 26-year old gained significant points after qualifying for the Basel tournament and subsequently, his upset of second-seeded Milos Raonic in the first round of the main draw.

Berankis reached his career high ranking of 50 in May. He has primarily played a mixture of Challenger events peppered with some ATP tour level tournaments to go with appearances at all four grand slams in 2016. Berankis has long been on the radar as a prospect to reach greater heights, but has been slowed by injuries during his career. He will look to continue to improve his ranking as he faces Federico Delbonis in the round-of-16 in Basel on Wednesday.
