FollowMurray Out of Miami - Djokovic Next?
World number one Andy Murray has pulled out of next week's Miami Open due to an elbow injury. He released the following statement:
“Sadly, due to a right elbow injury, I won't be playing in Miami,” said Murray. “Apologies to the fans, it's one of my favourite tournaments. The focus now is on getting ready for the clay season.”
Murray was eliminated by Vasek Pospisil in his first match at Indian Wells. There is no indication as to when he will return as clay season follows Miami
Meanwhile, world number two Novak Djokovic might follow suit. After losing to Nick Kyrgios at the BNP Paribas Open, he immediately returned to Europe to visit his doctor in Monte Carlo. The Serb has been nursing a nagging right elbow injury, as well. He has 1000 points to defend as defending champion in Miami.
