The MGM Slam Presented By Capital One And The CW Network Announce Broadcast Rights Agreement

LAS VEGAS (January 27, 2026– The MGM Slam Presented by Capital One and The CW Network today announced that they have reached a broadcast rights agreement enabling the network to carry the $1 million prize event live, Sunday, March 1, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The third annual event will feature an elite group of eight men’s professional tennis players, led by top-ranked American and ATP world No. 9 Taylor Fritz. The 10-point tiebreaker knockout singles-format event also features fellow American and world No. 20 Tommy Paul; world No. 5 Italian sensation Lorenzo Musetti; and a third world Top 10-ranked player, Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik, who recently won the ATP Hong Kong Open. Currently playing in the Australian Open in Melbourne, the year’s first Grand Slam event, Norwegian superstar Casper Ruud, popular Australian Open star Nick Kyrgios, Brazilian’s fan favorite Joao Fonseca and entertaining Frenchman Gael Monfils also will participate in The MGM Slam.

Three-time Emmy Award-winning and Hall of Fame announcer Ted Robinson will deliver live coverage while popular tennis analyst Chris McKendry will handle host reporting duties for the LIVE telecast scheduled to air from 7 p. m.10 p. m. EST / 4 p. m.7 p. m. PST.

The MGM Slam adds yet another world-class sport in tennis to The CW’s rapidly expanding sports lineup,” said Mike Perman, Senior Vice President of Sports, The CW Network. “We are thrilled to welcome passionate tennis fans from across the country to experience this high-stakes, fast-paced tournament featuring many of the top ranked men in the world.”

Robinson has spent more than four decades covering a variety of sports, serving as the lead play-by-play announcer for Pac-12 football on The CW since 2024. He has worked with NBC, Tennis Channel and USA Network calling dozens of major tennis events including the French Open, U. S. Open, Wimbledon and the Gold Medal match at the 2012 Olympics. In total, he has called 15 Olympic Games and was inducted into the California Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.

McKendry is a longtime ESPN tennis host who, this year, will be serving as a play-by-play announcer for ESPN’s Australian Open coverage, Wimbledon and the U. S. Open. McKendry is a past regional Sports Emmy Award winner and was the first woman to work as a TV sports news anchor in Washington, D. C. She grew up in the Philadelphia area and played on an NCAA Division I tennis scholarship for Drexel University.

The MGM Slam Presented by Capital One joins a growing roster of sports on The CW, including the full 33-race season of the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, which returns for a new year of high-octane racing Saturday, Feb. 14, from the legendary Daytona International Speedway. The network also is home to WWE NXT live every Tuesday night, ACC and Pac-12 college football and basketball games and will air 10 consecutive weeks of PBA professional bowling tournaments beginning Sunday, Feb. 22. Overall, The CW broadcast nearly 400 hours of live sports in 2025 and reached 45 million viewers across all live sporting events, according to Nielsen.
