London - Andy Murray today announced the launch of an online Charity Fundraising Auction www.amlauction2017.com in the build up to next month’s Andy Murray Live presented by SSE. Andy will play Roger Federer in the tennis exhibition event at The SSE Hydro, Glasgow, which aims to raise as much money for charity as possible.  The online auction will run from today until Monday 6th November, with all the proceeds going to charity.

A wide range of rare tennis memorabilia, other items and experiences are being offered in the online charity auction.  Examples include a signed racket used by Ivan Lendl, tickets for the 2018 Ryder Cup, Anthony Joshua’s signed boxing glove and an item of Little Mix memorabilia, as well as many more.

Andy Murray said, “Last year’s Andy Murray Live raised £305,000  for charity and our plans for this year are even more ambitious. By taking part in the auction you will be supporting this year’s two charities – children’s charity Unicef and Glasgow-based, Sunny-sid3up.  I really appreciate your support.”

To celebrate the launch of the auction, a competition will run, with one lucky winner receiving a signed, framed racket used by Andy during this year’s Wimbledon Championships. To view and bid for auction items and to enter the competition, visit www.amlauction2017.com
